My story

Hi! My name is Daliah and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 3 year old female Pitbull Terrier/Large Breed Mix who is eager for a new home! Boy have I had a rough start! I was originally brought into an LA shelter after being hit from a car and once I recovered I was adopted into a home with a man who wasn't always kind to me. That may be the reason why I bark at strange men but that doesn't mean I don't love them once we get to know each other; it doesn't take much to start showing my goofy side! I'm a very sweet girl who loves to be a couch potato and taking my daily strolls (also I'm pretty good on leash if I do say so myself). I love fetch, puzzles, toys, and I'm super treat motivated! I know sit, down aaaand.... actually that's about it for right now, I'm more of a companion gal and enjoy hanging out with my person. I've done well with kids on visits plus my peeps here have taken me offsite and said I did great. Not to brag, but I'm also part of an exclusive club called the LHC- do you know what that means? It means I've been at the shelter too long! (3 months but who's counting?). Anyways, I'd love for my furr-ever home to also be okay with a dog who's not the biggest fan other girly dogs. I do best with other male dogs (I like them big and pitty like me). I'm a simple gal, I like to chill with my two besties on the weekends and don't need a whole array of friends to constantly hang out with. Interested in meeting me? When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
