Welcome Louis, the lovable cat!Louis was sadly surrendered by his owner when a family health emergency left her unable to care for this handsome, grey fellow. Louis is a bit shaken at the sudden change in his life in his golden years, but this mellow cat is already warming up to the new humans in his life. ABOUT LOUIS:-In foster-Senior, domestic shorthair, male-Louis is a gentle cat.-He can be slow to warm up to strangers, and prefers attention on his own terms. Who can blame the little guy after the big change in his life? -Louis is particularly receptive to attention in the morning. Coffee date, anyone?-Louis has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.-Louis is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations. LOUIS’S IDEAL HOME:-As we get to know Louis, his ideal home will become clear. -Louis hasn’t yet been exposed to dogs or small children.- Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family.- Louis does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.Will you be the one to make Louis a beloved pet once again?
