PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. DARRYL HENDERSON and her siblings (CAPTAIN JESSICA CORTEZ, SERGEANT DANIEL "HONDO" HARRELSON, OFFICER JIM STREET, OFFICER DOMINIQUE LUCA and OFFICER CHRIS ALONSO) were found in a lady's back yard in San Jacinto, California. We were working on helping her fix all the ferals and keeping the kittens to socialize them. She ended up catching these guys and we brough them to the rescue. We named them all after the show S.W.A.T Now he's ready for his new home! Meet DARRYL HENDERSON, a sweet and playful cat from San Jacinto, California whose affectionate heart and silly antics will have you smiling in no time. With his bright eyes and soft coat, DARRYL HENDERSON is a gentle soul with a personality that is as delightful as it is entertaining. At first, he might be a little shy, but once he gets comfortable, his playful and loving nature will shine through. DARRYL HENDERSON loves attention and will happily settle down next to you to make biscuits in your lap. He's the type of cat who will quietly let you know when it's time for more pets—just wait too long, and you’ll hear his adorable meow demanding more love. But don’t be fooled by his sweetness—he’s also a fun-loving goofball! DARRYL HENDERSON has an enthusiastic love for toys, and whether it’s a spring, a mouse toy, or a wand, he’ll chase it with the energy of a kitten. His playful side is sure to keep you entertained for hours, and when it's time for treats or wet food, DARRYL HENDERSON’s excitement knows no bounds—he’ll meow loudly and happily bounce around in anticipation. DARRYL HENDERSON is a social guy, and while he enjoys being around his human companions, he also gets along well with other cats. He’d love a home with a playful kitty friend who can keep up with his silly side and enjoy a game of chase or a fun toy hunt. While Darryl is generally a sweet and friendly guy, he does appreciate his alone time now and then, so he’s perfectly content to relax by himself for a bit when needed. Although DARRYL HENDERSON is okay with being held, he prefers not to be, so a home where he has room to move around and engage in his own little adventures would be ideal for him. He’s gentle, curious, and always up for some fun, making him a perfect fit for a family who is ready to shower him with love and playtime. He is about 1 year and 6 months old. DARRYL HENDERSON is good with cats. In his foster home, he was around older cats. He has never been around children or dogs. DARRYL HENDERSON is currently located at a foster home in Temecula, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** MARCH 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in City of Industry, California off Colima Road in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one available to take calls. ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. DARRYL HENDERSON is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
