My story

Meet Gloria – Your Retirement Buddy! At 8 ½ years old, Gloria is the perfect mix of sass, smarts, and snuggles. This spirited senior was found outside our shelter with a pile of kibble and treats, likely left behind by someone hoping she'd stay put. But Gloria is no one’s afterthought; she’s a resilient, loving girl ready for her forever home. Gloria has hypothyroidism, which simply means she’ll need lifelong medication, but don’t worry, it’s manageable and doesn’t slow her down one bit. She’s active when it counts, relaxed when it matters, and always up for an adventure. We could easily picture her soaking up the sun at the lake, lounging by an RV, or going for scenic strolls. She prefers the calm life, so an adult-only home is her ideal match. She's not a fan of roughhousing or overly playful dogs,and she’ll tell you that herself with her signature sass. But she’s also full of love, cuddles, and soulful glances that say “you’re my person.” Gloria is looking for someone who appreciates the finer things: a good nap, a soft bed, a little mischief, and a lot of heart.
