My story

Approximate Age: 10 years old Approximate Weight: 10 lbs ** Paulie had a dental procedure done on 4/22** Meet Paulie! - Happiest boy you’ll ever meet! - GREAT house manners - Good with big energetic dogs and smaller older ones.. he’s just a happy guy - Nothing bothers him.. it’s all rainbows and sunshine in his eyes! - Loves everyone he meets adults and kids!! - Good with cats - Has some vision and hearing issues so his eyesight isn’t the best but he doesn’t let that stop him.. - Great on a leash! - Sleeps all night on his bed.. always wakes up happy! He does tend to be hot so he has his own personal fan by his bed! - Once he knows you he does always want to be able to check on to you.. but not necessarily be with you.. so he will bark if he can’t get to you.. Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there's official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance. More "sought out breeds may have a higher adoption donation) Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks for adoption fees. Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption. We typically have adoption events on Weds 5-7pm, Fri 6-8pm, Sat 11am - 3pm, and Sun 11am - 1pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process. Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week.
