My story

Meet Seymour! This roly poly tabby with pudgy cheeks, plush white socks, and and the heart of a teddy bear is looking for a home to call his own. Seymour once belonged to someone, but has spent some time on the streets. Named after the Little Shop of Horrors (“Feed me, Seymour!”), he would show up at his foster’s house, peeking sadly through the windows and asking for the chance to come inside. It takes him a bit of time to let his guard down, and he is still relearning what it means to feel safe and loved. Once that trust is there, he LOVES his people. He has been craving affection, not knowing if he would ever feel the comfort of human touch again or where his next meal was coming from. Now that Seymour is indoors and has a trusting relationship with his foster, he is a big cuddle bug. He plays like a kitten and takes comfort in being surrounded by his toys. He gratefully cleans his plate at every meal and then melts into a good cheek rub or a brushing. His whole body vibrates when he purrs. The last time he had this much interaction, he was probably a kitten, so he can sometimes get overstimulated and swat, but as each day passes and he relaxes and knows he can count on humans, it gets better and better. Seymour would do best in a quiet home with a steady routine. He is great with cats and would do especially well in a home with a friendly, confident cat.
