Sylvie

My story

Sylvie is such a sweet dog, an overall wonderful girl. She went on a 3 night sleepover with two of our foster volunteers and that was all it took to see what a happy, adorable, playful, obedient, affectionate, and fun companion she is. She is house trained, enjoys medium length neighborhood walks, car rides, golf cart rides, being bathed, being brushed and petted, and being with you. She enjoys a game of fetch and will return the ball to you and drop it at your feet. She knows her basic obedience, including sit, down, and wait. When you are on the sofa, she will be by your side. If you are snacking on the sofa she won`t try to steal a bite, such a good girl. She is a loyal dog who will sleep curled up in bed with you. She settles in at the foot of the bed and sleeps through the night until you wake her up. When out on neighborhood walks she walked politely alongside our volunteers` neighbor`s two dogs. She leans into you when you pet her and she wags her stubby tail with happiness. Sylvie is a low to medium energy dog indoors, and medium energy outdoors. Despite her initial shyness, Sylvie was willing to try new things - jumping into the golf cart for a ride around Sun City, walking into the shower and enjoying getting a bath, and hopping into the car and settling in the back seat for rides. We are requiring that any children in her new home be age 10 or older so they can understand her needs. She may do well with other gentle dogs in her new home after a slow introduction. Sylvie was reactive towards cats in her previous home, so we are requiring that her new family does not have cats. Adoption Price: $200
