My story

To look into Toto’s beautiful golden brown eyes will honestly steal someone’s heart. Toto is a dog that looks to his person for guidance, and thrives on trying to please his owner. He came to the shelter not knowing how to properly walk on a leash, taking food gently out of one’s hand, and not knowing a basic command like the word SIT. He has come a LONG way with working on all of these things, and he now a has a stellar SIT, walks nicely on a leash, and he loves to show you that he can shake your hand. He is in the process of learning DOWN, and can do it 75% of the time. When he plays in the large backyard it doesn’t take him long to come back to his person to check in, and to be loved. He can be a goofball, and would be good with older children just because he doesn’t understand his size. We would consider him to be mid energy. He wouldn’t require having a fenced in yard, but if they did he could run around and entertain himself to get some of his energy out. Otherwise he would require someone to take him on a walk, small hike, or short jog. He would do well with someone that has dog experience to continue what he has learned. He has been patiently waiting for the right person to come along, and when they do we know he will definitely make their heart melt like he has with all of the staff at Furkids. Toto weighs 65lbs. and is approximately 4 years old (est. birth date07/24/2020 ). Toto has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet.
