My story

"Meet Basil: The Little Climber with a Heart of Gold!" She may be petite in size, but this 12-week old female dog is a huge bundle of love and energy. She goes by the name of Basil, and boy, does she know how to climb her way into your heart! This playful Domestic Shorthair has already captured our hearts here at the shelter with her striking appearance and outgoing personality. But we know that her true forever family is out there, waiting to give her all the love and snuggles she deserves. Basil came in with her mom and siblings, all of whom have found their forever homes. Now it's her turn to shine and find her own loving family. But before that, she has a special routine that she can't wait to share with you. Starting on May 24th, 2025, you can find her at Petstmart in Union Gap, strutting her stuff and melting hearts with her clever tricks and curious nature. This little lady is quite the extrovert and a self-proclaimed people pleaser. She's always the first to greet you with a wagging tail and a happy bark, eagerly looking for some fun and affection. She may be busy and constantly on the move, but she knows how to take a break and cuddle up with you for some quality time. She's independent and likes to explore, but she'll always come back for some snuggles and belly rubs. Basil's love for climbing is not her only special trait. She also gets along well with other animals, whether they have four legs or two. She's a social butterfly, and she loves to make new friends. She's always up for some playtime and adventure, making her the perfect addition to any loving family with other animals. Our adoptions are done on a first come first service basis unless a hold is placed on the pet(s).  The hold is for up to 7 days and may be done when the Adoption Contract is submitted.  You may place a hold by paying the Hold Fee of $25 per pet.  The Hold Fee of $25 is Non-Refundable and will be in addition to the Adoption Fee.  You may instead pay the full Adoption Fee which will also hold the pet(s).  After 7 days, if the pet(s) have not been picked up, any fees paid will be forfeited and will be considered a donation to Hands 'N Paws Animal Assistance.  ##2347770##
