We will connect you to his foster! LOCATION: Foster home ADOPTION COORDINATOR: Sue B (sueb@homewardtrails.org) ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for this dog: $595 ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 45 lbs ESTIMATED AGE: 2 months on 3.25.25 KNOWN WITH DOGS: Sox was rescued with his siblings from a BOX DUMPED ON THE HIGHWAY. Yes, you read that correctly. This entire litter of 6 tiny pups was found by a driver. Thankfully, they stopped and got the pup safe. But their local shelter was full and had no space for them so HT jumped into action to bring them to the DC area for foster homes. They are now doing wonderfully and are safe, warm, fed and happy. Sox and his siblings are young and social at this time so we are open to homes with or without other dogs! We guess they are lab mixes of some sort but have no information on their parents…so only DNA really knows. KNOWN WITH CATS: He has not met cats yet but puppies who are properly introduced to cats and grow up with them usually are great cohabitators! KNOWN WITH KIDS: Sox and his sister are fostered in a home with young children so they are getting acclimated and doing great with them. Proper instructions for children interacting with kids can result in wonderful dog-child relationships. So we are happy to place these pups in homes with or without kids. KNOWN COMMANDS: Still learning as he is very young! KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Still very young but learning on papers and crating right now for short periods.
