My story

PINE IS IN A FOSTER HOME- IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING WITH HER, PLEASE EMAIL PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOV.Pine is a very sweet dog! She is content to lay beside her people and sleep or chew on a bone. Her favorite thing is to be with her family. She is crate trained and will sleep in there at night and if you leave the house, but she doesn’t like being locked away from her people if everyone is moving around doing things. She wants to be wherever you are. She has been very calm in the house and has taken correction well when she chews on something she shouldn’t. She has settled down now and pretty much knows what she can have and what she can’t. House training is going well. She is getting the hang of it. Pine doesn’t seem to have much experience with the world. She is afraid of new things. Walks are a little overwhelming for her. She needs someone who will be calm with her and introduce her to new things slowly. She prefers to be a couch potato beside you with occasional breaks for running around the back yard chasing toys and playing with her canine friends. She LOVES other dogs and should definitely go to a family where she will have canine siblings. She finds comfort in their presence and loves to play! She can play a bit rough with her mouth, but has seemed to ease up already with some redirection. She will play rough with dogs that want to play, but leaves alone the dogs that aren’t interested. In some ways, she is very much still a puppy, but she is learning fast! She’s an absolute sweetheart!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pine (IN FOSTER), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
