You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Charity Rose! Charity Rose is a beautiful white and tan Boxer mix who was found as a stray. The vet estimates she is about 12 years old and weighs around 70 pounds. Charity is gentle, loyal, and full of love. She adores people—both men and women—and will happily snuggle up even if you just met her. She gets along fine with other dogs, though we haven’t tested her with cats or young children yet. She is house-trained and knows several commands including sit, down, stay, and shake. Because she is hard of hearing, she just needs you to get her attention first. She loves treats but appreciates a reminder to take them gently! Charity isn’t a barker and settles into a home routine easily, keeping herself occupied and content indoors. She walks nicely on leash without pulling, but due to her age, she can only manage short walks. She sometimes needs help getting up, down, or into the car, but her sweet nature more than makes up for her limitations. Charity is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home where someone is around often, since she needs more frequent potty breaks and some extra care. Despite her age and mobility challenges, Charity has a huge heart and will give you unconditional love. She’s looking for a soft place to land and a family to love her through her golden years.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.   Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.   MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization.
