My story

Hola amigos, I'm Smoky! I'm not your typical Chihuahua even though I weigh 10#, I'm like a Labrador in a Chihuahua's body - friendly, cuddly, energetic, and playful. I love both big and small dogs, so I'm the perfect addition to any pack. Now, let me tell you how I ended up here at the rescue. It's quite a funny story. I was chasing a squirrel (my arch-nemesis) and ended up following it onto a bus! Before I knew it, I was miles away from home. Unfortunately as funny as that sounds it’s not the truth and animal control had to seize me and my brother from living in a tiny pen full of filth 24/7. We never got clean water, got to eat out of a food bowl(our food was thrown on the ground), or sleep in a cozy bed. Thankfully, the MAD Rescue folks found me at animal control and gave me a temporary cozy place to stay. But what I really want is a forever home. So, if you're looking for a bundle of love and energy, I'm your guy! I’ve already been neutered, chipped, and current on all vaccines and preventatives.
