ABOUT STAR Looking for an incredible pup to be the star of your life? You’re in luck, meet Star, our pint-sized bundle of perfection! She recently arrived at HAP from one of our partner shelters and has quickly become a staff favorite, thanks to her lopsided ear and lovable personality. While Star can be a bit shy at first, once you’ve earned her trust, she’s yours for life. She’ll happily show you her goofy, affectionate side and become your little shadow, following you everywhere like the loyal understudy she is. Just under 3-years-old, Star still has plenty of energy and a love for exploring. She’s always up for an adventure and is a perfect lady on the leash. She’s also been working on her basic training and has already mastered commands like “sit.” Oh, and did we mention her obsession with peanut butter? Whether it’s frozen, fresh from the jar, or in treat form, Star can’t get enough. She even gets the cutest little peanut butter mustache when enjoying her favorite snack, it’s absolutely adorable! Star has met a few dogs on leash and has shown interest in making friends, though she hasn’t had any off-leash interactions yet. With the right introduction, we think she could be a great match for the right canine companion. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
