Colby

My story

Colby is a very gentle 3-year-old boy. He is beautiful with his long luxurious silver-grey fur, his white blaze, snout and socks. When he came to the Shelter, his coat was very matted from lack of care, so he needed a 'lion cut' and looks very handsome with it. In the middle of winter he was abandoned by his owners. Colby survived several days in the freezing outdoors because he hunkered down in hiding. Now that he is in a safe and warm space, Colby still spends a lot of time in his comfy cat cave. He has slowly started to trust that things are going to be o.k. for him. Food is the way to his heart, he loves to be petted, and when he knows a person, he comes out and snuggles. He has made great strides to overcome his fearful experiences of the past. Colby will be a wonderful companion pet for a person or family who have a heart for a sweet cat like him. He would do best in a quiet home with someone who has time to engage him, pet him, and bring him out of his shell for sharing his love. He is a sweetheart!
