My story

Hi, I&#39m Skitty! A stunning short haired brown tabby male, born approximately 1/23/2023. I was transferred from HSPPR because I was very scared, nervous, and not doing well there. Now I&#39m at Wild Blue where I&#39m learning to trust people, blossom, and hopefully find my forever home! Life has been a little scary for me, and I&#39m still learning to trust, but deep down, I&#39m a sweet boy who just wants to feel safe and loved. When I first meet new people, I may hiss a little, but don&#39t take it personally! I just need some time to settle in. Once I do, you&#39ll see my softer side. I&#39ll stretch out, start making biscuits, and if you&#39re gentle with me, I&#39ll lean right in for pets, chin rubs, and head scratches. I do startle easily with loud noises and can get overstimulated, so I do best with people who speak softly and move slowly around me. I love to feel safe and cozy under blankets, and once I trust you, I&#39ll reward you with head butts and plenty of biscuit-making skills! Food is one of my favorite things, especially treats and wet food! I&#39ll even let out excited little meows to remind you when it&#39s time for my next tasty snack. Right now, I take gabapentin in my food to help with my anxiety, and it&#39s been making a big difference in helping me feel more relaxed and happier. I&#39d do best in a quiet home without kids or dogs, but I might be okay with another calm feline friend as long as you follow Wild Blue&#39s introduction procedures.
