My story

Meet Jack! 🐾 This sweet little guy is a 9-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, weighing about 15 lbs, and he’s ready to find his forever home. Jack was sadly surrendered by his previous owner who moved into assisted living, but he’s shown so much resilience and heart since coming into our care. At first, Jack can be a little shy (or in JRT language “standoffish”— he’s an older gentleman who likes to take his time getting to know new people. But once he feels safe, his sweet personality really shines. Since being fostered by one of our amazing employees (alongside three other dogs!), Jack has truly blossomed. He’s learning to enjoy the simple joys of life again — snuggling on the couch, sunbathing, and being part of the pack. Jack is good with other dogs and would do well in a home with other respectful, calm dogs who can show him the ropes. He would thrive in a quiet, patient home where he can build trust at his own pace and get the love and stability he deserves.
