My story

What's big and orange and full of purrs? Wally is! This hefty hunk of a man is enjoying his life off the streets, being pampered and loved on as much as possible before he finds his forever home. Wally can be a bit unsure about new places, but he finds a lot of comfort hanging out in his carrier until he figures out that the new space is safe. The top three things on Wally's favorite things list are: yummy food, being brushed, and making kitty biscuits. If he had thumbs and a small business loan, Wally would be opening his very own bakery with how many biscuits he makes! He is absolutely filled to the brim with love- you can tell by his near constant purr and the sweet way he gazes up at your face. But Wally came from a rough life out on the streets, so he's still not used to hands treating him kindly. Wally is a little uncomfortable when it comes to being pet, but he LOVES to be brushed, and we've been working on associating that feeling with being touched by hands. Wally would do best in a home with experienced cat people, preferably adults only or possibly with older cat-savvy teens, and he would also like to be the only animal in the home- he is not a fan of dogs or other cats. But at nearly 20lbs, we think he's enough cat for anybody! He is also FIV+, but don't let that scare you, he is a healthy guy and with regular vet checkups and remaining indoor-only, Wally is very likely to continue to live a long and healthy life.
