DOUG

My story

Doug is a happy and spirited herding mix. He is extroverted, energetic, curious, and loves all things human! Doug is staying with a wonderful foster, and his ideal day includes exploring the neighborhood several times a day and meeting new people. In just a short time, Doug has won the hearts of all the neighbors and they seek him out for one of his enthusiastic hugs! He is house trained, knows basic commands, very food motivated, easy to train, and rides well in the car. He is curious about meeting other dogs but does not seem sure yet about forming lasting friendships. He does not appear to have a strong prey drive. He recently went on a weekend outing to Solano Avenue with his foster and he was a model canine citizen! Doug is a quick learner and requires a decent amount of physical exercise. He would thrive in an active household that can provide adventures and mental engagement. Due to his enthusiastic hugs, he is best suited for a home with adults and dog-savvy kids. If you've got a space in your heart to welcome a wonderful loving soul, Doug is the one for you!
