My story

If you catch a glimpse of Bella, you’ll certainly understand how she got her name, because she’s absolutely beautiful! This stunning lady weighs a whopping 103lbs and was surrendered to the shelter due to lack of pet-friendly housing. Bella finds the busy shelter environment stressful, but she tends to warm up after she gets to know you one-on-one. She enjoys treats and already knows the commands “sit” and “shake” – she can be taught more! Due to her size and how much she enjoys high-value treats, Bella will do best in an adoptive home with older children or even adult humans only as she needs her whole family to be able to recognize how much she appreciates high-value treats. If there is another canine in your home, bring them along to ensure Bella approves of her potential new roommate! Come visit us and get to know this big dawg today!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
