My story

Meet Carter, a sweet FIV-positive orange tabby with a heart full of love! This handsome boy was rescued from Puerto Rico through the Save a Gato rescue, where the government was attempting to euthanize cats, despite them being vetted and well cared for. Carter has overcome his past and is now looking for a loving forever home where he can thrive. He absolutely loves to cuddle and will happily lay on you while you watch TV or take a nap together. Despite his FIV status, Carter is a healthy and affectionate companion who’s ready to share all his love with you. If you’re looking for a gentle, snuggly friend to keep you company, Carter could be the perfect fit! While Carter has an FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) diagnosis, it doesn’t define him. Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives with proper care, and Carter is no exception. He enjoys his playtime, loves his food, and appreciates a quiet, safe environment to thrive. With regular vet check-ups and a little extra attention to his health, Sue will continue to be the affectionate, loyal companion he’s always meant to be. We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, combo tested and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip registration.
