Meet Heart – A Gentle Soul Looking for Love! Heart is a beautiful five-year-old spayed female Jindo mix with a soft white coat. She weighs 15kg and stands 56cm tall at the shoulder. Rescued from euthanasia in March 2023, Heart has spent the past two years in a shelter, patiently waiting for a forever home. Now in foster care, she’s ready to find a family to call her own! This sweet girl is a little shy at first, but with just a few tasty treats, she warms up quickly. She’s not wary of people—just a little bashful! Once she gets to know you, she’ll happily seek affection, nudge you for pets, and show off her loving personality. She hasn’t had experience with young children under 13, but she’s gentle and allows people to pick her up. Once she’s comfortable, she may even roll over to show you her belly! Heart is wonderfully social with other dogs. She enjoys greeting both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and is always up for a friendly play session. She has a naturally kind and gentle temperament, so even if another dog tries to provoke her, she prefers to avoid conflict. She gets along best with dogs her size or smaller. When it comes to cats, Heart is an easygoing companion. Even if she spots one on a walk, she stays focused on her person instead of getting distracted. With a moderate energy level, Heart enjoys outdoor activities but knows how to relax when it’s time to rest. She’s a calm and well-mannered pup who will fit beautifully into a laid-back home. Since she spent much of her life in a shelter, she didn’t get frequent walks, so she may pull on the leash a bit at the beginning of a walk. However, she has already improved a lot and follows her handler well, making her leash manners manageable with consistent guidance. Heart is polite around food—she doesn’t guard foods from people or other dogs. She does have an adorable habit of barking when she wants something, but her communication is never excessive. She’s crate-trained and stays calm in a kennel. Plus, she’s a pro at getting in and out of a car all on her own! Heart is fully outdoor potty trained. Having spent her entire life in shelters and foster care, Heart may take some time to adjust to a new home, but she’s a sweet, well-natured dog who is sure to settle in with patience and love. She has been treated for skin issue while in foster care, and her new fur is growing in beautifully, though some areas still have slightly discolored hair. Heart has been waiting for a loving home for so long, and she’s more than ready to shower her future family with affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and affectionate companion, Heart is ready to make your home complete!
