Hi, I’m Evie, a 4-year-old Chihuahua blend who weighs 15 lbs. It may take a minute for you to win my heart, but once you do, I will always save a seat for you on the couch, always greet you at the door with 1000 enthusiastic tail wags, and give you all my love. General Behavior: Evie is very cautious and distrustful of strangers at first and she will need a day or more to get comfortable with new people, pets, etc. Once she has decided that you are her people, however, she is a velcro dog who will follow you around the house. She is very snuggly and affectionate and requires a lot of attention. Likes & Dislikes: Evie doesn't care much for toys or even food. (She needs gentle encouragement when eating her meals: holding the bowl up for her, positive affirmations, etc.) She just wants lots of snuggles and cuddles with her people. In terms of dislikes, she does not like her front paws touched, and does not like having her harness touched too much. Training: Evie is a little lady! She is housetrained if let out regularly, she walks well on leash, she sleeps in a dog bed at night, and she is well-behaved on car rides. She just needs a watchful eye because she can become overexcited, when playing, etc. She likes to climb furniture (dining chairs, tables, etc.) and investigate things. She needs a watchful eye for these habits. Medical: Evie is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Evie does well with other small dogs but seems to fear larger dogs. She hasn't been observed around cats yet but her foster does NOT think they would be a good fit for this shy sweetheart. Children: Evie has not been observed around children yet. Home: Evie does not like to be left alone, so she'd love a home where someone is around more often than not. Other than that, she'd be good in a condo, apartment, or single-family home. Grooming: Evie has a longer coat, so she'll probably need brushing and professional grooming. Overall: Evie will make a wonderful companion for someone who can handle a lot of kisses and snuggles. Could you love Evie evermore? Please visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. Bella is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption donation is $400. ##2331712##
