Meet Barney – Your Loyal Little Shadow!Barney is a 2-year-old, 11-pound Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a serious talent for cuddling. Once he gets to know you, this sweet boy turns into a total snuggle bug who wants nothing more than to be by your side.Barney is potty trained, uses the doggy door like a pro, and walks beautifully on a leash. He’s also a great little travel buddy and does wonderfully in the car. While he’s not a fan of the crate, he’s happiest when he’s close to his person—curled up on the couch or tucked in next to you at night.As a classic Velcro dog, Barney does experience some separation anxiety, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around more often than not. He’s wonderful with other dogs, but because he can be a little sensitive to unexpected touches, he’d prefer a calmer home without small children.Barney is the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal, loving friend who enjoys walks, cuddles, and simply being near his favorite human. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
