My story

Meet Kitty and Red! This deeply bonded pair of 14-year-old inkblot babies are prepared to completely dismantle your personal space with their niche duo dynamic and hilariously opposite personalities. Kitty (6 lbs, extrovert, snack-motivated life coach) is a professional commentator. She will perch loaf-style on the back of your couch and loudly critique your food choices, outfit, and life trajectory. She thrives on physical closeness and refuses to let you pee unchaperoned. Kitty warms up fast and expects at least one throw blanket dedicated entirely to her. Red (5 lbs, introvert, keeps a secret journal with leather binding) is unimpressed by you. Specifically you. Don’t take it personally. He requires several board meetings and a background check before allowing lap privileges. Once you pass inspection, however, he will fuse to you like a suspicious yet sleepy koala and politely request belly rubs. But don’t try to introduce him to your friends ~ he didn’t request that. These two were abandoned at a North Carolina shelter, heartbreakingly clinging to each other. We said yes right away, because look at them! When they arrived at the Haven and realized they were still together, they exhaled, melted into one emotionally co-dependent blob, and immediately began running the household. Now they’re looking for a very particular setup: -No kids, no chaos, no random guests popping in unannounced - A calm home with a fenced yard (they are not enthusiastic about leashes, or society) - Pee pads are a yes (for now). - And most importantly? You’ll be home. A lot. Preferably always. Together, Kitty and Red carry the energy of a mildly judgmental elderly couple running a haunted Airbnb. They will reward your patience with loyalty, the occasional hijink, and an outrageous level of cuteness. Kitty and Red are approximately 14 years old.
