My story

Hi, I’m Irelyn! At just 1 year old, someone left me tied to the shelter’s front door overnight - I was completely emaciated, nothing but skin and bones. My friends here gave me food, love, and time to heal. Now that I’ve gained some weight and confidence, I’m finally ready to find my forever family! I love everyone I meet. Seriously - if you're a human, I probably want to hug you and cover your face in kisses. I’ve got a fun, spunky side too! Tug-of-war? Fetch? Yes, please! I may be small, but I’ve got a big heart and a playful spirit. I’ll be honest - kennel life is really taking a toll on me. I’m very stressed out, and it's getting harder to stay my happy, playful self. I’m desperate for an adopter or even a foster to give me a break from the shelter. Because of my stress levels, I am very uncomfortable around other dogs right now, so I’d do best as your one-and-only. If you’re looking for a little ray of sunshine with a big personality and even bigger love to give, I think I could be your girl!
