Louise

My story

Louise is a female Siberian Husky. She is approximately three years old, and currently weighs about 50 lbs. She was brought to our shelter on 3/2/25 after being found in unincorporated Hayward. She hasn't been reclaimed by her previous person, so she's now looking for a new home! Louise has been an easy-going, laid-back sort of girl. She equally enjoys going for walks and also hanging out and snuggling with her human friends! Her volunteer friends describe her as "cheerful" and "endearing." She's definitely a favorite! She walks nicely on leash, and she already knows some basic skills too, such as "sit" and "down." Louise is dog selective, meaning she may be more okay with some dogs, but not others. If you already have a dog at home, we'll ask you to bring them to meet her prior to an adoption. Louise may have a higher prey drive. Before she came to the shelter, she got into some trouble for chasing chickens. Because of this, as a precaution, we are looking for a home for her without small pets. When Louise first arrived, we discovered that she had fox tails in her ears and one of her ear drums had been punctured. She has been receiving treatment for this, but she does still have some healing left to do. She has been vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped, so she's ready to go home right away! Her adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable). Her spay surgery has been sponsored! Louise also qualifies for Fluffy Dog Friday! Adopt her on a Friday and we'll waive her adoption fee too!
