My story

Meet Catfish! Catfish is a 3 year old black and white male that came from a pretty rough hoarding situation. He and his 4 other siblings arrived at our shelter terrified of everything, especially people.  But after some time and lots of socializing with each of them, one by one they came around and started to trust humans. Their true personalities were coming out, and every single sibling was an absolute sweetheart - except Catfish. He has been the most challenging and stubborn cat on earth! He would hiss, spit, swat, even charge tonyhe front of his cage when any staff members or volunteer would come near him.  He was not a happy camper.  After several months had gone by, and we saw zero progress with him, we decided it would be best for Catfish to be adopted as a barn cat.  But then something great happened a couple of weeks ago... Catfish was letting different staff member pet the top of his head... And then, he started meowing at us to get our attention (we have never heard him meow this entire time we have had him), and now he is even letting us pick him up!  Catfish loves pets, especially chin scratches and even head butts us! He has done a complete 180 - and we can't believe what a great little cuddler he is!  Catfish loves to be around kittens, too. He immediately goes into "Dad mode" and cleans them and loves on them, it's so sweet. Catfish is available for adoption at the Angel of Hope shelter.
