My story

Meet Candy! This beautiful girl was a mama when she came into our rescue. She has two beautiful kittens and is now ready for her own family and a forever home. Candy was living outdoors in the country trying to manage survival in a trailer park. Since coming to Piedmont Animal Rescue, Candy has shown nothing but gratitude to her foster. Her foster says that Candy has fully embraced her new indoor living digs. If Candy thinks you are getting ready to give her affection, she will turn over on her back to show you how much she trusts you and also to say, "let's get this petting party started!" She loves to be pet, brushed and while you're brushing, you might as well tickle that furry belly cause she's not going to mind.  From her foster "Candy is a love bug. Follows me around the room rubbing against my legs. Constant purr. Loves to be petted and brushed and to sit on your lap when she wants to! Her fur is so soft I love rubbing my face against it! Plays with that toy that the ball goes around and the cat wand." You can meet Candy and her friends at one of our adoption events. With an approved no-obligation application, you can request a meet and greet.  NOTE: If you are not a serious applicant, DO NOT fill out an application. PAR is a volunteer only rescue and it takes several volunteers to process and respond to each applicant. Our feline's are ready for their forever homes and applicant's that are not serious about adopting can delay them getting adopted or cause them to miss a real opportunity for a home.  Your donation to PAR towards adopting your new feline friend covers the cost of their spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccinations and testing for (FIV) Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and (FeLV) Feline Leukemia Virus, microchip and registration.  ##2351996##
