My story

Hi! My name is Trixie and I am from Kentucky. My fosters call me Cider and I kind of like that new name. I’m a sweet, 30 lbs. Kentucky girl. I think I’m about 1 year old. I did find myself in the “family way” before I came to MN, but my young’ns are off to find their happily ever after. I haven’t been at my foster’s house long, so they are still getting to know me. They spend most of their days sitting in front of little boxes, so I get to chill on my dog bed. I’m living a good life now, but I could be living my best life with you! Since I came from KY I’m adjusting to the MN cold & snow. I’m also learning stuff like ringing bells when I have to go outside, and I’m starting to get the hang of sitting and waiting patiently for my food (I’ll admit, this is a hard one). My fosters are even teaching me how to sit & shake, that’s an easy one for a smart girl like me. I reluctantly go in my kennel for bedtime, but I’m quiet for the night & dry in the morning. So far, I bark when one of my fosters leave or when I want to go out (still learning the bell system vs the bark system). I’m curious, playful and like to go on walks. I don’t like loud noises, and I can be stubborn. Otherwise I’m perfect!
