My story

UPDATE ON COCOA FROM HER FOSTER FAMILY... She is settling in nicely and preparing for her puppies!!! UPDATE 4-28 COCOA HAD 9 HEALTHY PUPPIES!!! (The daddy of these puppies is a Merle Labradoodle) *5 girls (1 Chocolate and 4 Merles)Aurora, Nova, Domino, Elektra and Pepper*4 boys (2 Chocolate and 2 Meles)     Sam. Goose, Bucky and Rocket                                                                                                          We will keep you updated or check out our GRRAND FB page too! It will be about mid to late June before these puppies are ready to go to their new homes.  Cocoa is a lovely 4.5 year old Chocolate Lab at probabaly around 65ish lbs (for now as she is pregnant), who has not been treated kindly by her past people and was helped to come to GRRAND by a concerned neighbor. This poor girl is happily in a foster home where she can have her babies in a warm and loving surrounding. This will be Cocoa's last litter of puppies forever, as she was used for "backyard breeding" and not under good conditions. She was literally used only for breeding, treated badly and kept in horrible conditions all by herself while trying to raise her puppies. Her people were planning to dump her somewhere as they were done with her, even though she is pregnant. GRRAND was told she was a difficult dog to deal with... but on the contrary! Here is the REAL STORY from her foster mom and dad...   "Cocoa is a COUCH POTATO!   She doesn’t bark or growl ever. She grunts a little because she is so heavily pregnant. She comes up for pets and stares at you with her beautiful, soulful eyes is if to say I’m finally okay and can relax. Her tail is constantly wagging and she gets so excited when you sit beside her and rub her big belly. She has not had one accident in the house and likes to take walks several times a day so she can enjoy the squirrels and deer in the neighborhood. This sweet momma is going to make someone a loving and loyal forever friend after she delivers her pups."Stay tuned for the debut of her Labradoodle babies very soon!!! We are thinking like  ##2351914##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cocoa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
