My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.A volunteer writes: It's unlikely that, at 11 years old, Angelo pictured himself here. With years of creativity and love behind him, he has only more ahead but since Angelo takes a little while to warm up to new people, shelter life hasn't been the easiest transition. While Angelo has been spending an inordinate amount of time in his den as of late, he's a playful and imaginative guy with a bright and playful spirit. We've heard that Angelo loves to play with toilet paper (ok, interesting) and is particularly captivated by scratching posts. I picture him reviewing posts and pads with the enthusiasm and expertise of a cat professor. Anyway, though Angelo's said to be one who generally prefers to watch from afar, he likes to be around the action, except when it comes to Care Center action. Angelo made every effort to make himself invisible when he was brought here and he still seems to be on a mission to do just that. That's not what we want for him though and we don't think it's what he really wants for himself. A forever family to call his own is just around the corner and it could very well be you!
