Mother Hubbard is a sweet, gentle soul who has captured the hearts of all of us. With her easy-going energy and mellow nature, she’s a dream to walk—calm on leash with only occasional pulling when something catches her nose. She’s recently discovered the joy of toys and benebones, happily settling into playtime or a good chew when she feels safe and relaxed. She knows how to sit, takes treats gently, and hasn’t shown any negative reactions to dogs nearby, whether on leash, in the yard, or near her kennel. She was recently seen playing next to another dog, Chowder, with no issues. While she generally keeps to herself around dogs, she may be able to live with a well-matched, social dog after slow, thoughtful introductions over time.Mother Hubbard is seeking a loving, experienced home where she can finally exhale and just be a dog. Her time is running out, and she needs a hero now. Please don’t let this gentle giant’s story end at the shelter. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too.
