My story

DOB 25-Sept-2024 Ophelia is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved. This very beautiful girl with big dark eyes, distinct markings and tufted lynx ears was born on September 25, 2024 and was rescued from a hoarding situation in March 2025. In her case it was truly a rescue. She was skin and bone from a respiratory infection and could only take tiny sips of water. Her transformation from scrawny kitten hiding energy less in a corner to extremely playful girl with a little round belly has been wonderful to watch. She is very food motivated and stands up on her back feet guiding the food dish down to the floor. She leaps about with toys and other kittens. She is nervous of humans walking around on two feet but will take up a spot on the couch beside a seated human and loves an ear scratch. She is quite nervous of the rambunctious 10 year old boy who lives in her foster home so might be a disappointment to small children but having them offer tube treats could warm her to them over time. She doesn’t like to be picked up for long but each day she is lifted, given a quick bit of love and set back down and she's getting used to it. Favourite dry food: Royal Canin for kittens and nursing mothers. Favorite wet food: Royal Canin for kittens and nursing mothers. Perfect litter box habits.
