My story

Meet Princess Mia, a silver velvet hippo in search of a forever home—and a permanent spot on your couch. This 1 year old, 40-pound pocket-sized love bug stole the hearts of staff at the Fulton shelter with her stunning coat, pixie face, and irresistibly sweet personality. Since moving into a foster home, she’s been living the good life and showing off just how wonderful she is.Mia is a snuggle champion who absolutely adores people and is fantastic with children. She loves to be held like a baby, giving off serious Miss Peaches vibes, and makes the cutest little snorty noises when she’s excited. She has a low-to-medium energy level—perfect for a few playful zoomies in the backyard followed by leisurely strolls through the neighborhood. When it’s time to wind down, she’s all about naps and cuddles.She’s fully house-trained, crate-trained (and actually enjoys her crate!), and a dream on a leash with no pulling or reactivity. Mia is also dog-friendly and enjoys the company of canine pals her size or larger. While she’s sweet and playful, she can be a little much for smaller pups.Her favorite pastimes include snuggling, napping, and entertaining herself by tossing a tennis ball or stuffie into the air—yes, it’s as cute as it sounds. Princess Mia is working on becoming the ultimate patio companion and is more than ready to bring joy, snuggles, and a whole lot of heart to her forever family.
