My story

Meet BJ! After BJ's dad suffered a medical emergency and was hospitalized in critical condition, BJ was found hiding under an RV at their home. The friends who found BJ tried to keep him safe, but their large dogs were not accepting him, and they feared for BJ's safety. And that's how BJ became a Frosted Face on April 3rd! BJ is 10 years old and weighs 16 lbs. Poor little guy has been through a lot since his arrival - recovering from pneumonia, having surgery on April 24th to remove a painful eye and a dental, during which 21 unhealthy teeth were extracted. Thankfully, BJ has been recuperating while on a two-week Frosted Fling. We are so glad he is getting lots of TLC in the comfort of a home! BJ's Fling Mom shared this great update: "What has BJ been up to on his fling? Well, he is an incredible pup!! BJ has ditched his post-surgery cone, mastered the layout of my home. He is a happy playful boy. BJ was already blind before having his painful eye removed and has adjusted wonderfully. He takes no meds now and just enjoys life in a home. We enjoy time in the yard, and when he wants to go back inside, he has mastered the step up to the sliding door. He's very smart! BJ is friendly to all dogs, I have big dog and a little dog, and he's great with both. BJ is a foodie, and tonight we played “find the treats”. Afterwards he found his favorite round fluffy bed and went to sleep. BJ follows me around the house when he wants to find me but is not needy. He does not bark at all! Never a peep even when my dogs are going crazy when the mailman comes. I put him in a soft pen at bedtime and have to wake him up around 7 AM or later with my two dogs to go outside. He is house-trained and does not need to wear a belly band at all. When I return home, I find BJ napping in one of the beds in the living room with my other two pups. BJ is an awesome, loving boy who is ready for his forever home." BJ has a new lease on life without the eye and teeth that were causing him so much discomfort.
