My story

Meet Gigi🖤🤍 * Gigi was saved right before being slaughtered from a dog meat farm in Gongdeok, Gimje. At the time of rescue, she was confined to a cage, hidden under a cloth. After discovering she remained in a nearby freezer, rescuers believe she was likely next in line to be slaughtered. Fortunately, she was saved in time and is now living safely in her foster home. • With People: Is naturally shy and cautious around strangers. When encountering new people, she tends to hide and observe from a distance. Feels comfortable enough to bare her tummy and relax with familiar caregivers. Sometimes wanders throughout the home with a toy in her mouth at night. • With Cats: Coexisted peacefully with other cats without any issues while at the center. • Separation Anxiety: Is quite independent and does well on her own in a private space. • Litter Type: Is currently using tofu-based litter. • Grooming & Handling: Is still fearful of human touch, having a hard time in accepting touch. To help manage her claws, multiple scratching posts have been placed throughout her space. • Playtime: Absolutely loves fishing rod toys! • Car Rides: Remained quiet during a 30-minute car ride but appeared slightly scared. 💌Special Notes💌 • Has a habit of scratching textured wallpaper (especially those with a rough, bumpy surface), so caution is needed. • Is particularly fearful of objects or hands moving toward her face. ❗Health Status❗ • Others: Fully recovered from ringworm.
