My story

If you`re looking for a soulful, sensitive dog who just wants to be understood, meet Rose. She’s a 7-year-old beauty who’s been through more than her fair share of hard times—after surviving a house fire and weeks left alone in a backyard kennel, she still wags her tail and leans in for affection like she’s holding out hope for something better. Rose is shy at first, especially around men, but once she warms up, she’s all in—loyal, playful, and ready for belly rubs. She’s lived with other large dogs and older kids, and while she doesn’t instantly click with everyone, she does well with patient introductions. Rose is a smart girl who knows how to sit and lie down, and she’s happiest lounging on a cozy bed or couch with a good bone to chew. Like many dogs who’ve been left alone too long, she may need some help relearning the house rules, but she’s worth the extra patience. With her gentle eyes and whip-like tail, Rose is the kind of dog who just needs a fresh start—a stable, loving home where she won’t be left behind again. She’s ready to blossom, and you just might be the one to help her do it. This animal is staying in a foster home and is not at the shelter. Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
