My story

--FOSTER PUPDATE--Kopytka A17311641 lbs. spayed female, approx 1 1/2 years old - this sweet, loving pup is ready to start her, much deserved, happily ever after- affectionately goes by the names Jelly Bean and Hoppy in her foster home- came into the care of DACC with an old injury to her leg. She underwent a rear leg amputation and is recovering amazingly well- absolutely loves to snuggle and loves belly rubs- despite having only 3 legs, she does pull a bit on leash. Obviously she won't be the type of dog who will want to go for super long walks, short walks will be enough for her- has such soft and squishy fur- takes treats very gently- she handles stairs well, although it would be best to not have to do them regularly- gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but might do better with calmer dogs. She doesn't enjoy puppies who jump all over her, which is understandable - cat friendly - housetrained, as long as she's let out regularly. We're still learning to read her cues. She loves going outside and so far she appears to be a quieter dog, not much barking at all- has shown to be non destructive and hasn't had to use a crate while her foster family is awayThis pet is in a foster home!
