My story

Meet Ladybird – A Gentle, Cuddly Companion Ladybird is a 3-year-old, 70-pound bundle of love who’s ready to find her forever snuggle buddy. This affectionate girl adores being close to her people and will happily trade toys for pets and cuddles any day of the week. She’s playful and loves a little fun, but her favorite place is right next to you. Ladybird walks nicely on leash and is generally calm, though she can get a bit excited when she spots another dog. She’s friendly with new people and always gentle in her approach. While she’s a little hesitant getting into the car, once she’s in, she rides quietly and calmly. With a bit of encouragement and routine, she’s likely to gain more confidence over time. Ladybird is the perfect mix of sweet, social, and snuggly—if you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and enjoy every moment by your side, Ladybird might just be your perfect match. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
