My story

My foster writes: Mamacita is the sweetest girl in town. She is such a gentle soul and is the kindest, most affectionate cat. She loves cuddles, kisses, and pets, likes to be held, and wants nothing more than to hang out with her loved ones. She is well behaved when left alone and has good litter box manners. She enjoys interactive play sessions a few times a day and appreciates her naps (the preferred spot is on your lap!). She is an enthusiastic eater, particularly with her Royal Canin wet food. "Mama" is an absolute gem of a cat and she so deserves a quiet and loving home where she can live out her golden years. What my friends at ACC say about me:I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I am a sweet, social, older gal, looking for the perfect forever home!A volunteer writes: When I opened Mamacita's kennel she seemed a bit shy. I started to talk to her and put treats in my hand because I know that the way to a kitty's heart is through their stomach! She gracefully took treats from my hand and gobbled up every last one. I let her sniff my hand before attempting to pet her. Once she realized I was a friend she continuously leaned into my hand for more head, neck, and chin scratches. She is a truly gentle angel who was brought to us after being with her family since she was a kitten. Rightfully so she is confused but is relaxing and settling in quickly! Although we have so much love to give her and enjoy every second of it, it doesn't match a forever home. She was said to have been a sweet cat in her last home who was shy at first but loved her people. Can someone give this sweet gal a forever home and lap to watch tv on?I'm available for adoption at ACC's Mobile Adoption Event on Saturday, March 15 from 11am - 5pm and Sunday, March 16 from 11am - 4pm at The Spot BK, 232 Varet St, Brooklyn, NY 11206. Adoptions are in-person and first come, first served, so make sure to get there early. You can apply for me now, but it will not put me on hold for you. I can't wait to meet you! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 7 Age: 13yrs 2mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mamacita, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
