*** Nicolette & Bijoux are in our PetSmart Aero adoption center ***Nicolette #19656: brown tabby & white, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/1/23Bijoux #19657: white & black spotted, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 4/1/23 Cats: goodDogs: small dogs okayChildren: calm older kidsBACKGROUND: Nicolette and Bijoux had been living with a family since they were kittens. However, when a mother-in-law needed to move in and was allergic to cats, they were taken to a shelter. They transferred to The Rescue House when we had an opportunity to help out.PERSONALITY: Friendly and affectionate, Nicolette and Bijoux are very sweet though need some acclimation time to change. They like high cozy nooks like the upper shelves of your closet while settling in, and even after they’re comfortable they gravitate toward the tall cat trees just because they like it up there. Both girls like to cruise around their living space keeping tabs on anything that might have changed since their last circuit, and they’ll swing by you for some loving along the way. They both love to watch Kitty TV through a sunny window, especially if you put a capacious cat tree nearby so they can play and lounge as they like. At night, they’ll join you on the bed for a while though may not stay throughout… they’re busy kitties, but they still want to interact with their people. ---Nicolette likes head scratches and soft petting along her sides. She’ll sit by you for periods of time purring her happiness and doing an elevator butt if you scritch near the base of her tail.---Bijoux is more independent-minded and likes to be the one to decide on interactions. Her whims will take her back and forth, so you get several short petting sessions rather than an extended one. You’ll quickly fall in love with her gorgeous bicolor eyes!COMPATIBILITY: The sisters have always done well with each other and are fine with other cats if they are given a proper introduction. They lived with a small dog. Calm older cat-knowledgeable children who will understand their need to adapt may be okay, though we think young or very boisterous kids would be a bit much.Nicolette and Bijoux lost the only home they’d known. Will you give them safe harbor and a loving home that will last a lifetime?
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bijoux, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
