0800 Rocky Road

My story

0800 Rocky Road is fostered in Joplin, MO. Who doesn't love Rocky Road ice cream?  Then you can't help loving this guy. Rocky Road is a luxurious blue merle male Australian Shepherd, who is 6 years young and approximately 50-55 pounds.   Rocky Road is the bomb!  He can: sit, come, shake with both hands, lay down, come up on 2 feet, and go to his crate. Rocky Road is doing great with the other dogs, especially smaller dogs, which are his preference.  He is good but not super crazy about the medium or larger dogs in his foster home.  He has not officially been tested, but based on his personality, he could likely live with cats as well.   Rocky Road does well on a leash, and enjoys 1-2 miles worth of walks per day.  Rocky Road would gladly sleep on the bed, if allowed, as he does love being close to his human. Rocky Road does fine being groomed and LOVES car rides, gladly jumping in to any car for a ride.  Rocky Road is crate trained, house trained and has some great house manners. His ideal home would have a fenced yard or someone committed to working diligently on recall.  Rocky Road has done great with kids of all ages.  Rocky Road would prefer a female caretaker.  He is good with males, but he definitely leans towards the females in the home.  He has some nice energy and enjoys his long walks, but also has a nice off switch as well.  Rocky Road would make a great addition to any household because he is such a good boy.   Rocky Road is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of purchase of heartworm preventatives for any prior or current pets is required to adopt from our rescue.   NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org ##2341598##
