My story

My name is Kalliope but my friends call me Kalli, and I'm a fabulous 12-year-young pup (and yes, I know I'm gorgeous!). I'm a sweet, laid-back lady who's on a mission to perfect my girlish figure. I came into the Midwest BREW program when my human mom became ill with a very debilitating condition and could no longer care for me. She loved me so much that she contacted Midwest BREW and asked them to find me a new home. When I first arrived at my foster home, I weighed just 21 pounds, but with some good meals and TLC, I've worked my way up to a healthier 23.5 pounds—and I'm not stopping there! I'm a great eater, though I prefer dining solo, thank you very much. After mealtime, I'm more than happy to spend time with my foster siblings—a lovely beagle and a lively boxer mix. My foster mom says I'm a superstar because I always "go" outside like a proper lady. Crates are okay for a bit, but I'd much rather enjoy a nice long walk or relax on the couch, gazing out the window at the world passing by. Oh, and here's something fun—I may be hard of hearing, but I just discovered the absolute joy of belly rubs. They are life- changing! So, what do you think?
