My story

Drum roll... Deuce is now available! This 11 year old Yorkie is looking for his furever home. He came into rescue after his breeder was all done with him. He lived his entire life outside in a kennel. When he came to us he was needing an amputation and he had a collapsed trachea, which required a nebulizer and oxygen treatments around the clock. He’s doing so well in foster care and hasn't rereceived any treatments in months. He is finally ready for his furever home! In his foster home he sleeps in a crate, but would love a home where he can sleep in the bed. When he sleeps in the crate he wakes up religiously between 5am-7am. His foster home has nicknamed him “The Rooster” because that's when he likes to get up. Early bird homes are Deuce’s favorite types of homes! Deuce would thrive best in a home if he was the only dog or another dog sibling. A calmer home will be best. Don’t let this 3 legged tri-pod fool you, he has lots of life and energy left. Also don’t be fooled thinking you will be able to easily run him down if he gets away from you, he is quick. For 11 years old, Deuce is very toy motivated and loves having his babies out with him. His favorites are stuffed animals with squeakers in them. He will carry them around and loves playing with them. Any babies he has will come with him to his new home! Deuce is potty trained when allowed outside often, but he will mark if there are any sex or unaltered dogs around. Deuce is neutered, heart worm-negative, current on vaccines and preventions, he is microchipped and comes with a special geotag!
