My story

**RANGER IS BONDED WITH LEXI** Hello, my name is Ranger. I'm a seven year old GoldenRetriever mix, and I'm just a good ol' boy.  I have a lot of love to give, but until I get to know you, I tend to be a bit shy.  Once I know I can trust you, look out! I will shower you with kisses! I am house trained, dog-door trained, and ride well in a car. Together with my best friend Lexi, we are quite the pair.  We can be chilled or we can be rowdy.  If it weren't for Lexi, I would be lost.  I had a bit of a rough first couple of years growing up on a rez in New Mexico.  With Lexi's help, have learned that people can be really good to have around.  It might take me a while to get to know you, but once I do, I'll be the best boy I can be, especially if you are generous with tummy rubs and brushing time. Tummy rubs are my favorite!  I love going on walks so I can explore everything.  I also really like running, and I am really fast so a big securely fenced yard is a must! Like my bonded companion Lexi, animals smaller than me are not something I am fond of, so it would be best if we were the only pets in the family. I am a very good watchdog and will let you know if there is anyone or anything that doesn't belong.  Security is important to me, so I make sure my property is secure, but I also want a loving home where Lexi and I can feel secure, safe, and welcome.  Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.
