My story

Tortilla Chip is a soft-eyed sweetheart with a quiet presence and a heart full of potential. Now living at the shelter, she's beginning to show more of her sweet personality each day. While she may take a little time to warm up, Tortilla is incredibly affectionate once she feels safe—offering gentle nose boops, little kisses, and the kind of eye contact that makes you feel truly seen. This lovely lady enjoys calm environments, appreciates her alone time, and is fully house-trained. She’s learning new things every day—like what “outside” and “kisses” mean—and responds beautifully to praise and tasty treats (especially if they involve peanut butter!). Tortilla walks nicely on leash and is discovering the world at her own pace. She’s shown that she’s comfortable hanging out on her own and settles in well with a peaceful routine. She would love to go home with other dog-social pups who match her energy and can help her feel at ease. She would thrive in a quiet home with a backyard to explore, and a person or family who will give her time to settle in and feel loved. In return, she’ll offer you quiet companionship, gentle affection, and the joy of watching a dog grow into herself.
