FIV+DOB: 3/24/2019 “Gero” has quickly become a volunteer favorite! There is just something about this sweet guy that will melt your heart (especially in person). He is so sweet, patient and good natured. He gets along with everyone and never starts drama (he’s a lover not a fighter). You will often find him loafing about and looking up at you with his golden soulful eyes. He came into the shelter with pretty severe facial wounds that have since healed but left him with a bit of a unique “look”. We’re hoping someone who appreciates his one of a kind charm comes to adopt him. We promise you won’t be sorry you took a chance on him! Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.** Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection. FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Geronimo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
