My story

Kovu is a 1-year-old happy-go-lucky pup with a friendly, outgoing personality and a heart full of love! He’s never met a stranger—this social guy loves making new people friends and soaking up all the attention (especially if pup cups are involved!). Kovu is a gentle walker who enjoys going out and about but also knows how to settle in and just hang out. Whether he’s sitting calmly by your side or greeting admirers with a tail wag, he’s always bringing good vibes. He previously lived with a young child and did wonderfully, showing just how gentle and loving he can be in a home environment. Now, he’s ready to find his forever family and join them on a lifetime of adventures—big or small. Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match.Kovu was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and here is what they had to say, `Kovu is a super sweet and easygoing pup. He quietly rode in the car all the way home and was the perfect passenger. We took a walk to Made in KC for a pup cup, and while we waited, he politely met some of the baristas—no jumping, just happily soaking up the attention. He walks beautifully on leash, keeping a steady pace and checking in with you every so often. Once home, Kovu settled right in for a good nap and stayed close by, following me around the apartment like a loyal shadow. Overall, Kovu is a sweet, calm boy who’s already proving himself to be a lovely companion.`Kovu is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!
