My story

Meet Big Boy – a gentle, laid-back soul who came to us on March 28, 2025, after years of neglect. Despite his tough past, he’s remained sweet, affectionate, and eager to start his next chapter. Big Boy is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and managing a chronic skin condition that’s left him with significant hair loss and thickened, scabby skin. With a consistent routine of medication, medicated baths, and a special diet, he’s already showing signs of improvement.Don’t let his medical needs fool you—Big Boy is the total package. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, walks nicely on leash, and travels well in the car. He’s been calm and respectful with other dogs, horses, and even the barn cat in his foster setting. Whether he’s enjoying some time outside or relaxing indoors, Big Boy is happy to go with the flow and just be near his people.Big Boy is looking for a forever home or rescue placement that can commit to his continued care and offer the patience and comfort he deserves. He doesn’t ask for much—just a soft place to land, some love, and someone willing to help him heal. If you’re searching for a loyal, low-key companion, Big Boy might be the perfect match.
